Many questions arise when we think about the healing process after eyebrow micropigmentation. It is important for clients to know what to expect after this treatment and during healing, which lasts 4 to 6 weeks and can be categorized into 5 major phases:
Healing after eyebrow micropigmentation: phase 1
This phase lasts only a few hours, immediately after performing the micropigmentation treatment of the eyebrows. At this time, you may experience redness, sweating, high skin sensitivity, or a colourless liquid leaking from the area where you worked. These symptoms usually "settle" after a few hours, and should not last more than a day. At this stage, the eyebrows look thinner and darker than they will look after healing. Note: The colourless liquid that leaks is the one that prevents the retention of the pigment. Therefore, it is important that in this phase you tampon the place and keep it dry, whenever you feel the need, without, however, pressing too hard.
Healing after eyebrow micropigmentation: phase 2
Four more days follow, which is phase 2, when the eyebrows will still look dark and thin. You will begin to feel the treated area dry out, and the top layer of skin forms a peel. It is important not to remove the peel, but to let it fall off on its own, but also to keep the area moist using the cream recommended by the beautician.
Note: to prevent extreme drying of the skin, apply the cream twice a day, in the morning wipe with a diskette with warm water then apply the conditioner provided by the technician. Be careful not to apply too much product, so as not to suffocate the skin and allow healing.
Healing after eyebrow micropigmentation: phase 3
This phase is largely characterized by the drying of the area and its peeling. It usually starts on the 5th day and continues for 3-5 days. Some skin types tend to prolong this phase. If the correct care plan has been followed, the pieces of skin should come off regularly, in small strips.
Note: You may eat a lot of eyebrows during this phase. Don't scratch and don't pull! Keep the area well hydrated to soothe the itching.
Healing after eyebrow micropigmentation: phase 4
Usually, phase 4 begins in the second week, after most of the peels on the eyebrows have fallen off. In this phase, the brown colour may appear lighter, towards grey, and the hairs gathered and dusted.
The reason behind this phase is that a thin layer of dead skin still covers the area, not letting the colour come to the surface. But this phase will pass in the next few days, and the colour will start to look the way you initially wanted it.
Note: don't panic! This is a temporal and natural phase.
Healing after eyebrow micropigmentation: phase 5
The last phase of healing of the micro pigmented eyebrows lasts between 3 and 6 weeks. At this stage, the colour will start to look better and better, and the hair will look better defined and firm.
Note: This healing phase after eyebrow micropigmentation is very important for the skin to repair itself. After that you can go to the second session, to correct any gaps in the fallen pigment.
After the first micropigmentation we must do a retouching every 4-6 weeks to complete the treatment started.
